CONTEXT: This film was completed in the Animation Production course at ACCAD. Students from the design department collaborated with computer science & engineering students to create procedural elements in the animation. From droplets of rainwater to a single flake exiting its maker, The First Snowmaker is a Rube Goldberg inspired animation about a machine that exists within a cloud to produce snowflakes.
MY ROLE: As art director on the film, I developed the overall concept, storyboard, animatic, model/prop designs, layout, camera setup and
prop animation.
