CONTEXT: For concept only. The publication invites chemists involved in writing the article to submit cover images. For this article they wanted to submit a possible image for the cover. (Note: The company did not end up finalizing the process to submit the cover image.)
MY ROLE: I collaborated with the chemists involved in writing the published article to ensure the imagery conveyed accurate chemistry. I completed research to find references and visual representations of the molecular processes used. I then worked back and forth with the chemists to ensure accuracy of designs. I also used the chemists stl 3D file, brought it into C4D, cleaned up the model, and added Redshift textures and lighting for high resolution rendering. Last, I rendered the images in separate layers and composited everything together in AE (for final color correction and effects).
